Col Margherita: the authentic heart of the Dolomites
Discover Col Margherita, one of the most authentic and still lesser-known peaks in the Dolomites.
Perched at an elevation of 2,514 meters, Col Margherita is a privileged natural balcony offering 360-degree views of the majestic surrounding peaks—a true alpine amphitheatre.
Towards the southwest, your attention will be drawn to the Pale di San Martino group, dominated by the imposing silhouette of Cimon della Pala, one of its most captivating spires.
Just beyond, the Mulaz stands out alongside Focobon, with its distinctive shape.
Looking further east, the panorama expands to include the majestic Monte Agnér, renowned for its impressive rock face.
On clearer days with excellent visibility, your gaze can extend even further, encompassing Monte Pelmo and Antelao, the regal peaks of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Naturally, Monte Civetta, with its northwest face, appears in all its grandeur, dominating the horizon.
Always prominently visible, the majestic Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites, proudly displays its imposing south face. The view of this mountain colossus is truly spectacular, an experience that completes the magnificence of the landscape.
This unique vantage point allows you to grasp the entire splendor of a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the power of nature manifests in an almost surreal silence.
Here, the horizon unfolds into a boundless spectacle, where peaks follow one another in a succession of spires and crests.
